How We Work
Our process for finding the right connections for you has four steps:
Step 1: Plan
Before beginning to search for canditates on your behalf, we seek to understand your goals and priorities in order to translate them into relevant selection criteria. Once the criteria are set, we continue to step 2.
Step 2: Search
We rely on our knowledge of the academic and startup communities to build an initial list of the most likely candidates. We cultivate a network of influencers, non-profits, social networks, universities, and communities of practice which allows us to find people who could be relevant for you. Searching often yields a list of potentially good connections, which takes us to step 3.
Step 3: Vet
We screen each potential connection thoroughly by asking them to submit information that specifically addresses your selection criteria. We even talk to some of the most promising candidates to manage expectations. After vetting everyone on the list, we move to the final step.
Step 4: Recommend
We send along the top candidates along with our rationale as to why it makes sense to connect with them. We encourage face-to-face interactions whenever possible, but have the ability to use videoconferencing systems or even Skype to make initial introductions. Once you are connected, we remain available to monitor the relationship until an outcome is reached.
