Description

Repsol Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Repsol, the Spanish Oil and Gas company, is launching the third edition of the Entrepreneurs Fund. Although you can apply directly online, the program's administrator will directly engage with the startups we recommend.

Entrepreneurs Fund is designed to support startups in energy efficiency and bioenergy and seeks to fund both proof-of-concept and advance prototype projects. The former will receive technical support from experts in the energy field.

The foundation is looking for ventures that focus on:

  • Process, technologies, services, products at any stage of value chain
  • Storage and energy management in transportation and distribution networks resulting in lower consumption
  • Software and information technology solutions aimed at saving energy in all walks of life
  • Energy efficiency translated into social impact
Advance prototype projects will receive the same support given to proof-of-concept projects plus are eligible to participate in an incubation process to bring the solution to market- or investor-readiness.

During the incubation process, each project will receive an economic allocation ranging from 6,000 to 12,000 Euros ($8,000 to $16,000 approximately) per MONTH (for approximately 2 years) as well as technical, financial and legal counseling, coordinated by an assigned mentor.

The Call for Proposals is open internationally and will close on the 15th November 2013 at 12:00 AM. For more information please download the terms and conditions and visit their website.
